If the host hospitality accompanied at the caliber of the amazing service and the quality of food I'd give it a five. Since I'm here for the food and service... ok. No deductions. 10. 10. 10. Getting used to it... I'm practicing for 2028!!! I'm eliminating or 'illiminating' the the first leg of tonight's journey. The tens are for phases 2-4. Edits may occur.

Javier's is a nice Mexican restaurant in the Century City mall and therefore a go-to spot for all the people who work in the area (my husband is one of them, and has been a number of times). I went a couple weeks ago with two colleagues in the Beverly Hills/Century City zone and got to experience my first Javier's business lunch. I made the mistake of arriving late and pulling into the valet stand directly in front of the restaurant, hoping it was parking for Javier's and not the expensive valet for the entire mall. It was, in fact, the mall valet--about $20, no validation from Javier's. Next time, I'll park in the main structure. The restaurant was cool, spacious and bustling with an airy indoor/outdoor vibe. We got a big table tucked away in an elevated corner with, oddly enough, our own TV. I guess Javier's also serves as a Century City sports bar. Service was fast and attentive, and we had a relaxing catch-up lunch. The food was solid, starting with some addictive complimentary chips and a legitimately hot salsa. We also shared the house guacamole, which was very satisfying, lush avocado with cilantro, onion, and cotija cheese. I got the Cabo azul plate for lunch, a great option for people like me who want to try some of everything. This came with a Maine lobster enchilada, a poblano chile stuffed with shrimp and Dungeness crab, and an Ensenada-style shrimp taco, as well as beans and rice. Everything was quite good, but I especially liked that lobster enchilada. This was a large, decadent lunch, and I only had to pay for my accidental valet. I see why people like Javier's, and I'd be happy to go back when I need a fun place to eat in Century City.

Every time I come here I leave nice and full with drinks and food. They are pretty consistent when I go so not sure about some of the reviews but I also pop up in here random hours. I like the atmosphere as well the fact that it has some good natural lighting. Their drinks are great and I usually order the same thing every time I go. My go to is the La tablita. A nice mix of de constructed meats, salsa , guacamole, rice, beans and tortilla. I always add lettuce wraps as well. This time we also ordered a short rib dish which was comfort food. Id be back again for drinks and food.
